Transitioning back to the "Old Normal"

Over the past two years of NYC either being shutdown or indoor capacity being reduced, it was easy to forget what NYC used to feel like. But alas, with vax and mask mandates being lifted renters young and old are flocking back to NYC in mass. I mean, just take a look at the rapid drop of rental vacancy rates in Manhattan and the outer boroughs.

BUT you know what that means?

Packed bars, lines at your favorite spots, rekindling your relationship with OpenTable, and most importantly planning your night wisely. Walking into your favorite spot a 11pm is a thing of the past as well as carrying 4 drink precariously (without fear of being bumped) to the back of the bar where your friends have found one of the many open tables. Don't fret though and leave your zannies at home. This move back to the "Old Normal" is ushering us back into what makes NYC great; fun places, great vibes, a sense of being part of something exciting and the possibility of meeting someone random who may just turn out to be your new best friend. I mean that "new best friend" may have spilled a drink on you or blown their weed pen in your face but, you sparked up a conversation and boom... you found out you both buy weed from the same bodega guy who also makes the best roast beef sandwiches.

In summary, rejoice that we've entered this phase, be sure you plan ahead and have fun. #yolo
